But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that His is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
Hebrews 11: 6
Even though I can not see you Father, I believe you are God. Help me to diligently seek You today. Amen.

Have you ever noticed that once you pray for Scripture to be revealed to you, an adventure begins? I begin by praying before I sit down to read His Word, and begin a study or just spending time with Him, and He really does take me on a journey. I find that my eyes, mind and heart are so open to His teaching – I am energized by Him that I really have trouble stopping once I have started. I also have realized that I feel empty and irritable if I don’t spend time with Him, it really feels like withdrawal. I pray that you recognize your own addiction for time with Him!!!!
Love you all!!!

Bearing Burdens
February 19, 2008 – Tuesday
Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Galatians 6:2
Lord, I want to be sensitive to the pain in others. Give me empathy to carry their burdens. Amen.
<><
I do know that when someone shares a trial with me – I am usually deeply moved by the trial – and I am honored that they trusted me enough to share their experience with me. Sometimes the Holy Spirit leads me to say something, but majority of the time I just listen. Every moment like that should be taken seriously, but also delicately. That individual is hurt and vulnerable…crying out for comfort. The last thing that they need is a lecture, or worldly advice.
I am still learning about keeping my mouth shut until God tells me otherwise – so please forgive me if I have ever not been comforting in a time of need – I just didn’t know any better (I don’t want to make excuses for myself either).
I love you all!!! God thank You for blessing me with Your wonderful children!!!!

Loving our God
February 18, 2008 – Monday
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
Mark 12:30
Help me to follow your great commandment of loving You with my entire being. Amen.
<><
This passage is one that I hold close to my heart – and continually aspire for. There have been times where I simply can’t seem to comprehend loving God with all I have. If I were to do that – then what about the love I have for my boys, or family, or even friends? Ah, good question! I really believe that I am no longer loving them with my own human love generated by human emotions – I believe that I am loving them with the love that God has shown me – thus it makes our human relationships stronger, more intense, more understanding, more compassionate, more comforting, less human and definitely more Godly!!!!
Spread God’s Love today!!! Just make sure that you are filled with His Spirit first!!!

Prayer for Nations
February 20, 2008 – Wednesday
Blessed be the name of God forever and ever: for wisdom and might are His…He removeth kings, and setteth up kings: He giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding.
Daniel 2:20-21
O God, I pray for our nation’s leader that you would give him wisdom and understanding. Amen.
<><
Oh wow!!! When was the last time you prayed for the president? Or maybe the members of the United Nations? Or even leaders of our church leaders? Or your boss for that matter? Those in such positions have a tremendous responsibility and hold a lot of lives in their hands…it is really important that we keep them in our prayers consistently…for our way of life…the simple freedoms that we take for granted…our children’s future are all at stake. Prayer may not seem like a big thing to you – but it is a huge thing to God – and our relationship with Him – I urge you today to add these people to your prayer list!!!

Speaking in Love
February 21, 2008 – Thursday
Let your speech be always with grace…that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
Colossians 4: 6
Father, I often speak without thinking. Help me to guard my words and to speak in love to those I care about. Amen.
<><
OK – I know that there are times wherein I allow emotions get the better of me and I loose it. Jordan, James and I then get to have a time out and then we are able to exercise civilized discussion and forgiveness for one another. I have found that I tend to be more guarded with my words and thoughts when I am at work or around people other than my kids. Could it be that I know that my boys love me without a shadow of a doubt? Or am I more relaxed when I am with them? I do know that I am sometimes more honest with them than I will admit to outsiders. Is that because the relationship with someone outside of my family unit requires development? Hmmmmmm…Who are you the most honest with? God, of course – but if you needed to name a person, who would they be? Granted, honesty is extremely important in every aspect of a developing relationship – but the mode of revealing that honesty must be delivered in love!!!!

Love
February 22, 2008 – Saturday
Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit…see that ye love one another with a pure heart.
1 Peter 1:22
Please give me Your love to share with those around me. Amen.
<><
22Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: - KJV
22Since by your obedience to the Truth through the [Holy ] Spirit you have purified your hearts for the sincere affection of the brethren, [see that you] love one another fervently from a pure heart. – Amplified
22Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart.[a] – NIV
I am really beginning to fully understand the different versions of the Bible – Granted I would prefer to be able to read it in the original translations, but it may take me a little while to learn ancient languages. Enjoy the time that you spend in what ever version you have – it is God’s Word!!!!
