Throne Room

March 14, 2008 – Friday

The throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and His servants shall serve Him: And they shall see His face; and His name shall be in their foreheads.

Revelations 22:3-4

Lord Jesus, thank You for the hope and assurance of a heavenly home. Let this hope be reflected in my life today. Amen.

We all have been in situations wherein we hide God’s light and change our behavior to gain acceptance or favor. I have done this on more occasions than I care to remember. What if God really did write “servant” on our foreheads to distinguish us from the other people on the planet, so we couldn’t hide? It would be easier to recognize true brothers and sisters in Christ. Do you think that we would be persecuted or shunned even more? I wonder if it would be like the leaper communities. Oh, now I think that would be fun – granted we would have to deal with our own illnesses (physical, emotional, spiritual, etc.), but we would be united in Christ and acceptance would be undeniable. But, what if we didn’t interact with the “not servant” group…who would we show God’s unconditional love to? (Newborns and fussy babies do not count!) Who would be the instruments to help God drive a point home? How would we grow? God knows, so whatever He brings my way – I am game!

I honestly believe while we are in the human form, we need everyone just as they are – on a journey – that way we are able to discover, witness God’s wonders, and experience Him. I am just a thread in a beautiful tapestry that God has been weaving. I am just so very thankful to be included.

Ok so please forgive me for being very “wondering” today, at least I am not “wandering”!!!
